Join us on a pleasant and relaxing half-day tour to Ancient Corinth, with a duration of four hours.
You will experience a route of breathtaking views of the Saronic Gulf, until you reach the fascinating Corinth Canal, urging you to enjoy a brief stop. Shortly thereafter you reach Ancient Corinth with its rich history, located at the foot of its impressive Acropolis, the ‘Acrocorinth’. St. Paul visited the prosperous and wealthy city of Corinth and preached Christianity for two years. He founded the church of Corinth and later on addressed his two letters to the Corinthians. You will visit ancient relics of all historical periods, such as the Temple of Apollo, foundations of shops, small shrines, fountains, baths, the Roman Forum, the commercial street of Lechaion and other public buildings, mostly of Roman times.
You will also drive by the ancient port of Kechreai in the Saronic Gulf, where St. Paul disembarked on his way to Corinth from the city of Athens. We will return to Athens just in time for lunch!
