OPTION A- USING THE ATHENS METRO SYSTEM FROM THE PIRAEUS.

To get to Piraeus metro station, you can:

• Walk from the pier to the metro station which is approximately a 30 to 40 minute walk depending on the pier the ship docks
• Take the 843 bus from pier A  to Piraeus metro station

Once you arrive at the metro station in Pireaus you get on the metro in the direction of KIFISSIA (line 1) and in 20-30 minutes you reach the MONASTIRION metro station where you get off and change trains into line 3 in the direction towards AIRPORT. You get off at the next station which is SYNTAGMA station. Once off the train you will follow the EXIT signs until you reach the ticket validating machines and the escalators will be directly in front of you. Our office representative will be waiting by the side walls holding and orange ATHENS WALKING TOURS sign.

The cost is 1,00 € per person.

To get back to Piraeus you may take the metro from either Monastiraki or Thisseion in the direction toward Piraeus (line 1) and get off at the last station. You will then walk to the pier or take the bus 843 from opposite the metro station of Piraeus and get off at the same stop you took it in the morning.

OPTION B-USING THE PUBLIC BUS TRANSPORT SYSTEM

You can take bus 040 from near the pier B (the terminal is 200 ft away from the main exit) towards Athens. You get off at the last stop which is on Filelinon Road at Syntagma Square and only 3 minutes walk from our meeting point. The ride is approximately 50 minutes and the ticket is 1 Euro one way.

To go back to the port you take the bus 040 from the same place you were dropped and get off at the last bus stop.

Airport to Athens

Instructions on how to use the Athens Metro System from the airport towards Athens and back.

You may come to Athens from the airport easily and quickly by taking the Athens metro. A one way ticket costs 6 Euro and the ride is approximately 30 minutes.

To get to the airport from the city centre you may take the metro from Syntagma Station or Monastiraki metro station always in the direction to the Airport.
