Ancient Agora: The Core of Ancient Athenian Life
Ancient Agora is where ancient Greek democracy came to life. It was a commercial, political, religious, and cultural hub where the greatest Greeks such as Plato, Socrates, Demosthenes, e.t.c. theorized, spoke out, and debated. With your private licensed guide, you will get to explore the site and also see all the significant artifacts at the Agora Museum, located in the two-storied Stoa of Attalos which was built in the 2nd century BC. You can ask your guide as many questions as you like since this is a private tour that will be customized to your needs.

The tour ends at the Ancient Agora.

Please be aware that even with our skip-the-ticket-line service, there might be some waiting time required for security checks as visitor numbers can fluctuate unpredictably at the sites throughout the day. The typical waiting time falls within 0 to 10 or 30 minutes, though on rare occasions, it might be longer.

Meeting point

Our recommendation is: inside the Syntagma Metro Station, because we believe it is the right and most convenient spot for the route of the tour! The meeting point is next to the ticket validating machines, underneath the hanging clock. Your tour guide or office representative will be holding the orange colored Athens Walking Tours sign to identify them.

Ask us for pick up from your hotel! Some, but not all hotels are conveniently located within the route of the tour and in this case, our guide will gladly meet you at your hotel lobby and start your tour from there.

Admission tickets not included

A time zone system for entry to the Acropolis is in place to minimize waiting times and prevent overcrowding. 

• After booking your tour, you will receive an email from us with instructions to purchase your entrance tickets separately.
• Once we receive your ticket payment, we will check availability and then send you a final confirmation for both the tour and entrance tickets.
• The tour cannot take place without confirmed entrance tickets.
