Your question: I just arrived in Athens International Airport. How can I reach Athens?

Athens International Airport is about 20 km east of Athens city center. There are three types of transportation from the Airport, Metro, Taxis & Buses.


 Metro: The Metro station is adjacent to the airport terminal. Tickets are sold at the vendor machines installed at the Metro station and also at the ticket booths. You will follow the blue line. The cost of the ticket is 8 Euro for one trip which is of 40 minutes duration to Syntagma or Monastiraki station downtown Athens.


 Buses: X95 Express bus to Syntagma- Athens runs 24 hours a day and they pick up passengers directly in front of the terminal. It connects with Metro Lines.

X96 Express bus to Piraeus runs 24 hours a day and they pick up passengers directly in front of the terminal.

 Shuttle Bus: The Athens Walking Tours can provide you a shared shuttle bus from 08:00 am to 21:00 pm to pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel and vice versa. The price of the transfer is 20 euro per person for more information contact us

    I have seen on the Internet, that on September 23, 24, 25 2011 the admission for all museums in Greece will be free.
    Could you confirm it?

    Free admission for most of the Greek Museums apply on the last weekend of September, 24th and 25th. However, you will have to call the Museum to confirm the free admission before your visit!
