What we do to keep you safe

Since the outbreak of Covid-19 we have adapted to new health and protocol requirements to ensure the safety of all our staff and guests alike.

Protective face mask:

- They are mandatory for the GUIDES and all our STAFF during the entire duration of the tour

- They are mandatory for the GUESTS in buses, taxis and museums (such as the Acropolis Museum, Ancient Agora Museum, etc) and crowded areas. You are kindly requested to bring your own protective mask. Should for any reason you do not have one available, our staff will provide you with one.

Social Distancing:  

• Maintained in Vehicles and during the walking tours. You are kindly requested to keep a 2 m (6 feet) distance from your fellow visitors.

• Athens Walking Tours will make sure that you will not miss a word from your guide, by providing you with sanitized ear sets.

Temperature Checks:  

• Athens Walking Tours provides regular temperature checks for staff. 

Contactless check-in:  

A contactless check-in will be provided for all guests. You will need to sign for the audio set that you receive at the beginning of each tour, as well as for the entrance tickets you will be given (if included). Athens Walking Tours can provide you with a sanitized pen to sign in. 

Sanitation: 

• All customer touchpoints and vehicles are frequently cleaned. However, since the areas visited are highly frequented, the frequent use of an antiseptic wipe or gel is required.

• Our guides and staff will provide you with antiseptic wipes or gel during  your tour(s)

Entrance fees/tour fee payments: 

•  It is recommended to book/pay your reservation and entrance tickets online, using your credit/debit card.

• Athens Walking Tours staff does accept cash at the beginning of a tour, and we will take all necessary precautions for the transaction.

Itinerary: 

• To reduce crowds, the number of visitors is limited inside the museums and the archaeological sites.

• The measures set in each Archaeological site and Museum are subject to changes without previous notice.

• The above may result in forced last-minute changes to the itinerary and/or delays for the tour. In such cases, Athens Walking Tours, as well as the tour guide, will comply with any regulations and, if needed, we will alter the itinerary in the best possible way.

• However, it is each individual’s personal responsibility to keep the basic standards of sanitation, such as:
